Beach Community Food Pantry’s First Annual Food From the Heart – A Celebration of Giving event – April 1st 2017

Seabreeze is proud to sponsor the Beach Community Food Pantry’s First Annual Food From the Heart – A Celebration of Giving event! Taking place on April 1st from 5pm-8pm, the Food Pantry’s Grand Re-Opening/Dedication Event will feature cuisine and craft beer offerings from local restaurants, live music, raffles, and a ribbon cutting. The event will benefit the Pantry directly, with the hope of growing the Pantry’s outreach through increased involvement in the community, from helping to provide “Pack a Sack” weekend lunches for underprivileged school children, to providing holiday meals to patrons 3 times per year.

The Beach Community Food Pantry has grown tremendously from its humble beginnings in 2004 helping one family in need, to today, providing food for 800 people per month. With generous donations from partners in the community and caring individuals, the Pantry was able to provide 200 Thanksgiving and 200 Christmas hams to the Pantry’s regular patrons. The Pantry also contributed to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Holiday Meals program. In December, the Pantry was remodeled with monies received from a grant and fund-raising efforts that included the 2nd Annual Ted Irwin Sail-a-thon, a youth effort by the Indian Rocks Beach Sailing Association and the Rotary Club of IRB’s Pancake Breakfast.

The Beach Community Food Pantry is open to all people in need, regardless of where they live. Patrons are always treated with dignity and respect, and have access to a wide variety of healthy food choices. If you wish to take part in this truly meaningful community event, tickets can be purchased for $15 through the Calvary Episcopal Church – IRB. Please call (727) 517-2534.
